We have one day in each city and multiple options for shore excursions. I'm hoping someone could recommend the best shore excursion, with only one day and so many things to see?

In Rome go to the castel de Angelo. Take a hop on, hop off bus tour. Trevi Fountain is amazing. You don't say where you're from but if its the EU and you're over 60, you get discounts on entry prices. You have to have proof tho.
Don't waste time queuing for entry to places anywhere. The queues are horrendous unless you get there at around 8am. Take a water bus around Venice, make sure you get a day ticket. It'll work out cheaper. Not a lot on Lido but a fab beach and some interesting buildings. The Rialto bridge is just there as you enter Venice. There was an exhibition of leonardo de vinci when we went last year and thats certainly worth going to. cant remember where it was tho. if you're interested, message me and I'll look for it. Take a street map so you don't get lost! And enjoy yourself. Don't rush around. Decide before you go what you want to see most of all because you certainly won't get to see everything. over 7 years ago
