I have read horror stories. We have standard size carry-on bags 22x15x9 but after reading their specs and the horror stories, I decided to check them AND buy a travel vest in case we are overweight. In addition, although reviews seemed to be mixed, I purchased the priority seating. Have I wasted my money?

Well, travelling on Ryanair is not a very relaxing experience, so priority seating couldn't hurt. You are not getting refunded for it anyway, so enjoy what you can. You should be fine with the size of your carry-on, just don't pack too much (over 10 kilos, to be exact)! about 7 years ago

At some airports, priority seating is a waste. They let you line up first but then everyone is laded onto a bus to go out to the plane. At some airports they are very strict about only having 1 carry on item. No purses or any other item so have space in your bag to stuff in your purse. about 7 years ago
