Looking for cell options? Rent? Verizon Global Phone? Will VIBER work on a non smart phone? What cell phone options do I have?

    Hi, as long as your subscription to Verizon allows you to use the line in Italy, you are ok to use your own cell.
    On the other hand if you want to have a local number you can get a rechargeable SIM card from any of the Italian provider. My suggestion is to go with 3 (Tre) so that you have the best data network too. over 7 years ago

    I agree with Gianluca, there is also a plan with 3 (tre) where you can get 100 hours of internet for 15€ over 7 years ago

    Don't go Vodafone... I had heaps of trouble... Get an Italian international sim when you get there. It works out relatively cheap. I went to a TIM store and they are everywhere. I found it really easy to find somewhere to top it up when i was running low on credit and Internet access only cost me an additional €5 per week. over 7 years ago
