My husband and I are planning a 1wk vacation in Sardinia and my husband is Italian and Sardinia is the only place we haven't visited yet, in Italy.

    There's plenty of places, everywhere!
    Just come and drive wherever you like along the coast.
    I would suggest a non tourist route to "Is Arutas" beach and nearby white sands. over 7 years ago

    Definitely, I would suggest you to stay in the South of Sardinia as well. Here you can find the wildest and whitest beaches and also see the archeological side of Sardinia (don't miss the King of Nuraghes in Barumini, near Cagliari). As for your stay I would suggest you http://www.hotelbaiadinora.com/, with private beach, just in case you prefer to be more comfortable. You can also have diving there.
