When you arrive at the Rome airport, just follow the signs through the airport to baggage claim, and then to the train (Leonardo Express) that takes you to Termini. You can buy tickets for this train at the stores near the platform for 16 euros. It's a 30 minute ride to Termini. Once there, you will be arriving at a smaller set of platforms, but just follow the crowd up into the main part of Termini (you'll know when you've got to the main part... it's huge!) Just find a kiosk and buy a ticket on the next train to Florence. There are at least two types of trains, Eurorail and Trenitalia. I've taken Eurorail several times and it heads from Rome to Florence without stopping. Trenitalia is cheaper, but it stops about every 20 minutes inbetween. Hope this helps! over 6 years ago
