    September is a fantastic time to visit Italy: all the European tourists have largely gone home (July and August are truly awful), the weather is a delight and it's easier to travel. Best month to be there. over 6 years ago

    Yes, perfect. There are a lot of sagras, which are festivals usually related to food. Grapes are being harvested, it is not as hot, Italians are rested from their August holiday. Some hotels may charge "shoulder season" rates if later in the month. over 6 years ago

    Yes, usually wether is good, places not too crowded and fares cheaper than in july and aug. Best if not later than the middle of the month, later days gonna bee too short. over 6 years ago
