Not sure what you expected - scenic routes?
If you just have to drive thru: road 90 goes N-S (longest road in Israel).
To drive E-W it depends where you are.
    Tel-Aviv - Jerusalem: #1 road.
Of course there are other E-W roads further north and further south, about 9 years ago

Raquel, thanks so much. Are there two roads leading to Eilat? Is one bordering the Sinai peninsula and the other one bordering Jordan?

If you are a lady, bear in mind that most native born Israeli men drive as if they bought the road yesterday in City Hall. So they have to prove it all day long.

You wouldn't want to drive now on the road close to the Egyptian border, I'm not even sure it's open. The main road is just fine, watch out, the other drivers are usually crazy. about 9 years ago
