    I'm not sure since I did it years ago.
    I do know that they don't allow any food or drinks or religious objects (I know of Jewish T'filin used for prayers). Also I know that any group over 4 people must take a local guide, otherwise the police will hound you. almost 10 years ago

    I am from Asia live in the Middle East and have done this thrice. It can be a bit intimidating to normal tourists because of tight security procedures and checks at different points. As long as one is patient and tolerant and understands why such checks are required I see no problem. But do keep in mind it can take anywhere from an hour to two to get through security/immigration and on the other side. Go ahead and make the crossing!! about 9 years ago
