Tipping has become more common Ireland, but I always round it off, if the fare is 8 I give 10.00 Euro bill and keep the change, Restaurants we tip, cafe's, not bars like the states. Not many credit card machines will include the tip in the bill so you leave it in cash actually I only know of one restaurant in Dublin that do this. about 5 years ago
The Airlink stops at Cathal Brugha St. and then O'Connell St. The best stop for you is Cathal Brugha St., which is less than a 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
