I saw a question noting added difficulty for Englishmen traveling to Iran. Are there any problems like that with France?
Lauren, the British get singled out because of a diplomatic spat the two nations are having (A massive international game of "you're a bully!" "No, you are!" "I'm telling the UN on you!" "Mum!")
But read up on our other safety hints for Iran here: http://journals.worldnomads.com/safetyhub/country/101/Iran

I cannot speak directly to the situation of being a French tourist in Iran, but I did visit the country in 2010. As a visitor from the United States, I have to say the people were very friendly. A couple of suggestions my be to not wear a tie in country, even just upon arrival in the airport. Also, it would be helpful to learn a few words in Farsi. It would go a long way. over 7 years ago
