Can you hike Gunung Gede during Ramadan
over 10 years ago about Indonesia
I've heard that since there aren't any guides operating during the fasting month you can't actually hike the mountain. But I've also heard that the trail is really wide and easy to do on your own. So which is it? If I get a hiking permit can I go up on my own or am I grounded because of Ramadan?

I do not recommend hiking to Gunung Gede without guides. Rains and mists sometimes misguided hikers. about 8 years ago
