    Hi Kate

In my opinion staying in a villa is the ideal accommodation form for for families.A villa gives you the privacy to be together as a family, while you still can have all the amenities that comes with a hotel room as almost all villas in Seminyak are staffed.

With several hundred villas in the Seminyak area, there are villas to suite any budget and especially if you are a large family a villa will often be a cheaper option than a hotel room.

Have a look here to get an idea of the villas available in Seminyak: http://www.vilondo.com/seminyak-villas-bali

Disclaimer: I am extremely biased on this one as I am one of the founders of Vilondo villas

I just stayed at Villa Kresna a few days ago. They have deluxe hotel rooms (about $120) around a pool, about 100 m from the Seminyak beach, and a few villas with pools about 350 m from there. Several of the villas have a little upstairs section which would be perfect for kids.
Be aware though that the beach at Seminyak is not great for swimming, although wading is fine, plus it is nice and long if you want to take a walk.

    Hi Kate

Some of the larger hotels have private villas suitable for families. You get the convenience, space and privacy in the villa and access to everything the hotel has to offer (kids clubs, kid friendly restaurants etc).
