Bali is very safe, so i kuta. Never heard of any problems and go to bali every month. Stay at the The Pavilion Kuta , great hotel, great room, great for women, and only 5 minute walk to all key point of interest and only 5 min from beach. about 7 years ago

    Hi Kate

Like anywhere, there are dangers and as long as you know what to look out for, you should be ok.

Drink spiking is still quite common in Kuta in particular nightclubs, so keeping an eye on your drink and only drinking in reputable bars is recommended.

Many motorbike injuries happen when holiday makers suddenly think they can ride a bike drunk - sans helmet and lessons.

Dehydration (and gastro) is pretty common, its easy to drink a lot of alcohol in the tropics and not realise - if you replace every second drink with a bottle of water you'll be fine. Same for sunstroke, a wide brimmed hat is key!

Bali is a gorgeous place, but there are dangers despite what some people say.
