Somebody mention that you can pay to avoid the line up when arriving into Bali. Wondering if anyone can share more details.

Geda - Thanks for answering my question so quickly. Sounds like a great idea if you have kids and tired children from a long flight.

Mmmm ... that's interesting. No, from my experience there isn't a families lane at Denpasar airport and with so many families arriving it can be a long and tedious process that's hard work with young kids in tow.

I've considered getting an Indonesian visa here in Australia before we went, but the consulate here seems reluctant to issue them.

Visa's on arrival officially cost US$25, so I"m not sure where there margin is or what's the catch, but if anyone uses the above mentioned service I'd be very interested in the experience. over 10 years ago

There is now a new process on entering Bali if you fly with Garuda Airlines.

You buy your visa at check in before departure and a customs officer is on the plane and will process your VOA on the plane just before you land. It then means you dont have to line up for a visa on arrival. over 7 years ago
