Good Surfcamp in Bali

over 7 years ago about Bali, Indonesia

Hi, I'm looking for a cool surf camp in Bali, somewhere with a fun and relaxed atmosphere, not too remote (as I am travelling alone I don't want to end up alone with just a few couples and I'd need a place where they offer dorm accomodation) but especially I'm looking for a place with really good surf guiding. I'm an intermediate surfer and since I've never surfed in Bali I'd really like to get most of my 4 weeks stay...
I've checked out a lot of camps by now, but most of them have really bad ratings concerning the surf guiding or stating that the prices are way too much for what they offer. I had a few good suggestions from friends but those camps are mostly quite a bit away from the ocean and I'm trying to find one close to a (surfable) beach since I haven't got a drivers licence lol...and I'll be wanting to go surfing as much as I can (:

    Pro surf school kuta beach
It's got a great dorm set up and the instructors are very cool
It's across the road from Kuta beach, right in the middle of the action
If you don't surf out front or up the beach at legion these guys can organise day trips to the reef breaks
Locals tip: catch a boat out to airport reef or head to Balangan for good intermediate reef break left over 7 years ago

Nomad Keramas at Saba & Komune at Keramas. Both excellent camps, great quality accommodation at good prices and the best guides at the best surf coast in Bali. World surf event was held here in June 2013, that's how good the surf is. over 7 years ago
