I'm in a budget, so I would be looking for a unique, authentic experience, not luxury.

Don't know first-hand, but we stayed in a place on the Amed coast called Meditasi which ran yoga courses. Noticed that an Indonesian woman conducted the class we watched. There were just two young women in the class. The Amed coast is well worth a week; very laid back and much, much less developed than Kuta or Ubud. And easy to get to, but best by car, although bemo transport is regular. over 7 years ago

A good option that isn't too expensive is http://www.blooming-lotus-yoga - they offer yoga retreats for all levels. Good food, great teachers and absolutely awesome location. about 6 years ago

This isn't a retreat per se but if you are going to Ubud check out the Yogabarn. The class schedule is incredible and the venue is stunning over 5 years ago
