I don't remember the docking area's name. They know the boat schedule snd there Should be transport available There may be a "taksi" ( taxi) nearby clearly marked. Blue Bird is the biggest company in Indonesia and is metered. You shouldn't have any issues with any on Lombock. If you see a motorcycle or group of parked with a man (men) nearby just waiting, he is a motorcycle for hire. The are also 3 wheeled enclosed cycle carts usually orange or yellow. The later 2 are cheaper. Be sure any driver knows where you are going and negotiate the price beforehand. I doubt if you will see any of the horse drawn carts for hire as you will find in the 3 Gili islands. The smallest of the Gilis only has the latter and bicycles with no motorized vehicles allowed, Gili Air if memory serves.
If you find a good driver and want to keep him ask him to Tungu which means standby. Prices are cheap, just negotiate if the price if no meter or they don't use it. Enjoy. almost 8 years agoAnswered by Ed via Travellr.com
