The Alam Gili is pretty nice; run by the same family as the Alam Shanti in Ubud. http://www.alamindahbali.com/alam_gili.htm

Check them out on Trip Advisor. Perhaps not as good an operation as in Ubud, but probably the best on the islands. almost 6 years ago

Some great hotels on the Gillis, depends what you like. I prefer smaller private villas and try to avoid Gilli T because it's all a bit built up now with massive resorts and a lot of honeymooners.

I find www.agoda.com great for last minute accommodation bookings. They have a few listings for the Gillis and Lombok at fairly reasonable prices.

The diving and snorkeling around Gilli Air and Gilli Meno are nicer (in my opinion) than Gilli T and less tourists. almost 6 years ago

I'm on Gili T right now, and the north/west coast of the island is nice and quiet.
I'm at Wilson's Retreat, a nice little boutique place, now and I hear waves, the breeze and occasionally bleats from the 2 goats next door.
(I've not eaten at a lot of places yet, but I've heard from many that the restaurant at Wilson's Retreat is the best on the island ... Lots of people come over to hang out for the day, or just for dinner!)
Also quiet and nice: Villa Grasia and Hotel Ombak Sunset. almost 4 years ago
