Ubud is often referred to as the artist village of Bali.
Ubud is one place that "must" be visited, at least I say so. Ubud area is located between two major areas namely Gianyar and Tampaksiring is a beautiful rural areas and shade. Exquisite nature at the height of the mountains is where thousands of Balinese artists settled here. almost 9 years ago

Don't miss the Monkey Forest when you there. These naught critters are worth a visit though leave anything they can snatch at reception at the Forest including bottles of water which they love. Guard your camera & be careful grabbing on to overhead branches. If there's a monkey sitting on it, he/she & its troupe mightn't take kindly to it & you may be in for a mad dash through the forest running for your safety. Cute as these critters are the big ones can be intimidating particularly in their gang standoffs towards each other however the little ones & mums with their babies are cute beyond description. almost 9 years ago
