It can be done in a day including the historic Srirangapatnam or Seringapotam as the British called it! There you can visit Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace made of wood...walk through the dungeons on the banks of the river Cauvery...visit ancient temples..visit tge nearby Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary and see the great cranes which fly in from Siberia to nest...watch out for the crocs though:) Stop at Chennapatna en route to pick up handcrafted traditional wooden toys and carry on to Mysore for a feast of palaces, temples, art galleries and silk and sandalwood shopping:). Then its back in the late evening via the prettily lit up Brindavan Gardens on the site of a great dam. If you start at 7 in the morning, you should be back before midnight. over 9 years ago
