    Hi Shawn,

Bangalore is known as the city of gardens, then a Pensioner’s Paradise to a Silicon Valley of India. As for a tourist, there are attractions in and around Bangalore.

The tourist attractions in Bangalore city include Lal Bagh Gardens, Vidhan Soudha, Attara Kacheri , (Karnataka High Court) Cubbon Park, Bangalore Palace, Venkatappa Art Gallery, Tipu's Palace, Bull Temple, Sri Gavi Gangadareshwara Temple, ISKCON Temple, and Shiva Temple. There are other small places that you can go and enjoy it.

There are wonderful tourist attractions around Bangalore, that means one has to do a little bit of travelling like an hour or two plus hours.

From Bangalore, one can visit these places for a day trip. They sure are worth visiting Nandi Hills, Shivanasamudra – Gaganachukki and Bharachukki waterfalls, Talakadu, Balmuri Falls, Hogenakkal, etc. Mysore, about 3 hours away from Bangalore is a Must-See and a wonderful place. Mysore has wonderful tourist attractions and one would need to spend at least two days and a night. Mysore is also a yoga center if you know what I mean.

    Hope this helps!

Okay, so here's what you must see and do in Bangalore:
Tipu’s Summer Palace, The Fort, Cubbon Park, Ulsooor Lake. The aerospace museum is also an interesting place. And if you are a botany enthusiast, go see the famous big banyan tree that is said to be 400 years old.
For animal lovers, there are many parks and sanctuaries. If you have seen much wildlife, try the butterfly park for its novelty. You don't get to see many these days.
For the religious, there are many temples and churches in Bangalore.
If possible, plan a day trip to Mysore. And if you have more time, go to Ooty.
Oh and please don't forget to try the famous south Indian filter coffee. over 7 years ago
