1st class train travel is normally 2 to 3 times more expensive than 2nd class travel. But there is a very good option in 2nd AC(2 or 3 tier). I would recommend using the latter for a far more comfortable, yet reasonably priced journey in air-conditioned comfort. over 6 years ago

If you are traveling local you are better off traveling in 2nd class because there really isn't much difference for the price you pay, but traveling long distance it's a good idea to travel 1st class if you can afford it, 1st class is usually air-conditioned and has less people and better food service. over 6 years ago

Oh yeah there is. Heck yeah. Don't believe the other points. Bathrooms in first are clean and with paper. It's still rather filthy depending on the train and the route. But for the most part 1st class ain't that much over the other classes. Believe me, you need to get 1st class. And while there walk to 2nd class and you will be glad you listened to me. If you do not, all bets are off. And I mean"....nasty. over 6 years ago
