Agra is famous for Taj Mahal(one of the wonders)
Rajasthan for colorful cities and traditional lifestyle along with camel ride over the Sam desert
Kerala- for a house boat stay at Allepey
Goa for a fun tropical stay and sea water sports
Kashmir - for the heaven on Earth experience
Ladakh - a true paradise on earth
Gangtok - North Sikkim for a pleasant hill station stay
Sunderbans - In West Bengal for watching delta and Royal Bengal Tigers

These are main attractions of India, but I have met many foreigners who describe India as mini world. If you can stay a long time, India is every inch beautiful. But the cities may not attract you since the cities of Europe and America are far more clean and in better shape.

India is a beautiful place and so diverse! There are so many sights and sounds to experience. One of my favourite places is Pushkar in Rajasthan, a town that surrounds a sacred late, only motorcycles and bicycles are allowed access into the town. Only vegetarian dishes are served in the restaurants here. I also fell in love with Shimla in Northern India. It reminded me of an olde worlde English village complete with old fashioned village square. The temperate climate is also a welcome relief from the heat of the Indian plain. over 5 years ago
