Looking to spend some days relaxing on a beach. Don't want anywhere crawling with other backpackers, but would be nice to have some beach bars, lounge chairs, etc. Any suggestions?

You can try out Marari . It is a quiet beach. However you wont get beach bars etc other that in few resorts there. I would also recommend using the services of Iris Holidays who arranged our Holiday in Kerala over 10 years ago

I would recommend Bekal beach in Kasargode district or Kappad beach in Kozhikode. Both are not too crowded and calm. It is hard to get beach bars in Kerala, let me tell you. about 10 years ago

I ended up going to Varkala. It's touristy, but it was low season, so it was blissfully calm. And lots of bars to choose from. about 10 years ago
