Ladakh is very Famous traveling destination in India. In this months, you get a good experience. you should always carry enough medicines as the trip to Ladakh may, and will, bring you face to face with unexpected situations. When it comes to the mobile net I personally suggest you go BSNL post-paid from any mobile shop, as this is the only mobile connection which will work in Ladakh. about 3 years ago
wifi very spotty. my delhi mobile phone never worked.
Despite the previous 6days taking old-fashioned medicine as sometimes recommended (maladrone i think in english) and taking it easy >>on day three I got REALLY sick from altitude sickness--so bad i ended up in the local hospital which was an experience in itself.
Do NOT underestimate the altitude. Be sure to have O2 tanks and nose masks, water available where you stay. 63 but fairly fit old lady. (Leh in Aug 2016) about 3 years ago
Adjust to the altitude first. Take things very slowly, eat very light meals like soup for the digestive system. Sleeping is difficult, so rest when you can.
