If you are interested seeing the real India, I would suggest that you take the train. It's an experience as I discovered myself and it only take a few hours, but just like any exploring in India, be smart about it by being prepared with water and may be a snack. BTW there is no comfortable train that I heard of...
The places to visit around Delhi would be Agra, the Taj Mahal of course, for a day trip, Fatehpur Sikri, close to Agra.
While in Delhi, you should look up Khan Market for shopping, Shapur Jat for new designers . over 3 years ago

You want to travel New Delhi to Jaipur. It's up to you how you want to go via bus, via cab or via train.
If you are more than 2 persons then I recommend you hire a cab, because via cab you can also see the other places between New Delhi and Jaipur.
The places near to New Delhi you should visit Agra, Tajmahal, The Red Ford, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Jama Masjid, Iskcon Temple, Lodi Gardens, Qutub Minar and Chandani Chowk. over 3 years ago
