There is no dress code, but travelers should always dress modestly so the local people won't be offended. Delhi is pretty cosmopolitan though. over 4 years ago

For women, there may be a dress requirement when you visit mosques or Sihk temples. Women cover their heads and bare shoulders. In general avoid shorts, tank tops, any clinging clothes. Skirts should be below the knee. In the mosque in Old Dehli, they provide a garment to cover your clothes. I carried a scarf in my bag to make sure I had a head covering. over 4 years ago
