I will be heading to Uttarkhand in the month of April 2015 for a mountaineering course along with another 02 of my friends.
Any advice on how to get there?
I saw that UTC operates VOLVOs and so on but are they reliable and do I need to book them prior or can I just book upon arrival to Delhi?
Any advice very much appreciated :)

Depends on which part of the world you are traveling from. Trains can be overwhelming for foreigners. Uttrakhand is approx 300km away from New Delhi.I would suggest book a cab from on ola cabs or uber. over 3 years ago

I would recommend that you and your friends pitch to hire a driver especially when travelling around that area. Will be a lot less of a hassle and well worth what you pay.

I will be in India for six months starting now....I will meet up with my old man and his brother. They will be in India for a little less than a month. If you have any further questions ask me, I can relay it/ get you more details of reliable sources. They'll have good suggestions.
