
In which asian countries its necesary to take profilaxis for Malaria?
I´m concerned about side affects to the pills and will like to take them only where the risks of Malaria are high.I will be traveling to Maldives, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Phillipines.

oh, do not worry about it. I just came back from southeast asia countries. No malaria here about 6 years ago

I hasten to point out this is NOT medical nor insurance advice - talk to your own doctor about this.
Personally, I was in the Peruvian Amazon basin earlier this year and I took extreme care to protect myself from being bitten (long sleeves, strong repellent) so I was protected from Dengue as well as Malaria.
