Best way to travel in India?

over 6 years ago about India

I am traveling from New Delhi to Bangalore (with a few stops on the way) with some girlfriends in December. We are planning on taking the train, but any suggestions? Which class should we get? Should we book it beforehand, or just buy the ticket at the station?

Also, are taxis or rickshaws the best option for short distances?

Indian railways have quota for foreign tourists. The info is on the web site. I would suggest to travel by direct, non stop trains or trains like "Shatabdi" which provide meals included in the fare. over 6 years ago

Hi Amberlee ! in my opinion , if you book for 2nd or 1st class in trains that would be better..inside city for 8 to 12 kms you can take autorickshaws and for longer distance better to take taxi with good vendors ! If you provide us with little more information of your travel plans , we can give you good suggestions ! we are a travel and holiday planning company which provide personalized itinerary . you will feel cared and you need not to bother about any facilities! on top of that we provide best deals on stay . client need not to pay anything. contact us on holiday@takeabreak.in over 6 years ago

Chaotic, bamboozling, intoxicating, crazy, exasperating, squalid, daunting, overwhelming. India is all these things, and more. How can you possibly prepare yourself. about 6 years ago
