Is it safe to travel double seated on a bike ride to Leh??
My friend(a guy) has planned a bike trip to Leh, India. (Delhi-Leh-Delhi) He wants me to join him. Since I (a gal) do not have a bike he proposed that we go double seated on his bike(Avenger). I am very much into traveling and adventures (I wouldn't have given it a second thought had it been some other place) but this one seems a bit risky owing to the condition of the roads to Leh.
Do you think it's safe to travel double seated with all the luggage and stuff?? I mean, there's got to be a couple of saddle bags and a rucksack with us at least.

Depends on which road you're traveling on. The Leh-menali highway is rated as one of the most dangerous roads in the world and it took my bus 26 hours to complete it. In Leh itself, traveling on bikes is common, and I've come across many bikes zooming down the mountains. So that shouldn't be a problem. Stay safe! almost 8 years ago

Yes, but both the driver and the pillion must have knowledge of driving in Mountain regions. Since continuous driving exhaust the person. Happy Journey. over 7 years ago
