Any surf in India?
India has a massive coastline, can anyone tell me if they actually found any decent waves?

I saw this question and thought to myself surfing and India - yea right. Being Indian, I know India has a lot of beach but Indians spend very little time in the water. Anyway I went off and asked around and guess what there is even a website called SURFING INDIA - http://www.surfingindia.net/mantra-surf-club
The website has a map of the best surfing spots in India http://www.surfingindia.net/india-surf-spots almost 12 years ago -

There is an awesome place 30kms north of Mangalore, a surfing ashram of sorts run by this realy cool dude Jack Hebner. They teach you to surf and run the place sustainably, and give back a lot to the community. The Surfing Swamis, they call themselves.
You can rent a board, get a crash course and hit the waves. Check this out for more info http://www.weareholidays.co.in/b... over 7 years agoAnswered by Shivangi viaTravellr.com
