Coming to Mumbai for the entire first week of April. What are the must see things in this fabulous city?
We will be there as part of a larger trip that will last a month but was thinking of basing at the Taj Mahal for the first couple of days to get over jetlag then diving into the culture. Please pass on your experiences!

Try staying in South Mumbai. Visit Gateway of India and take a ferry from there to Elephanta Caves. Check out historic buildings and Indian seafood in Fort area. Shop at Colaba Causeway and spend evenings at Marine drive. Plenty of pubs and clubs around. Museums, galleries, theatres. If you're into local culture and don't mind getting down n dirty, check out the fish market at Sasoon dock. Maybe travel the local trains. over 7 years ago
