Where are you coming from?
1 Land in Delhi, explore the capital
Head for Shimla, Manali and Dharamsala in the hills of Himachal.
2 fly from Delhi to Bagdogra
Visit the Himalayan state of Sikkim, and Darjeeling hills.
3 visit Bangalore, Mysore and Nilgiri hills
Remember July is very hot in the plains, and monsoon season in many parts.
So head for the hills
Kashmir is also very nice in the summers. almost 9 years agoAnswered by Indizen viaAsk a Nomad iPad app

What are the ages and interests of the travelling party?
Relaxation traveller - head south to Goa after spending a day or two in Delhi or Mumbai to aclimatise.
Adventurous traveller - head North to Lumbini and the foothills of the Himalayas!
Cultured traveller - their are so many architectural and cultural sites to explore! Any major city (Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai.....) almost 9 years ago -
I agree with indizen
It gonna be raining in mumbai and goa around that time. Probably not the best time of the year for those 2 places. Landing in Delhi and travelling around and seeing the tajmahal, golden temple, daramshala, and manali are good options for a short trip.
Wish you guys a safe travel. almost 9 years agoAnswered by Shan viaAsk a Nomad iPad app

Dear Elbie ,
The best for you would be to head north to HImachal Pradesh as its a great season to see that. You can go to great himalayan national park, kullu, do treks, paragliding, skiing and loads of other things. Or you can also go on the best journey to Spiti and Ladakh. Write to sunhimalaya@yahoo.com for any more details .
Cheers

The best place for you to travel in July is South India. Kerala,Western Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Goa. Monsoon would have started. Places are lush green, there are wildlife parks, back waters, tea, coffee, rubber and spices plantations, different types of food in each of these places. Ayurveda massage for relaxation. Since I live in this part of the world, I can offer you tips and information. write to parthi.rajasekharan@gmail.com almost 9 years ago

I dont agree with the above answer, as it is misleading.
Bangalore to Leh, or Munnar to Gangtok are huge distances.
India is a big country... You can choose one region, and plan according to the hot and humid season in July in most places. almost 9 years agoAnswered by Indizen viaAsk a Nomad iPad app

It is sooooo hot in July in Delhi! I would jump on a bus the next day for the hills. The southern destinations are 130 degree F, don't know Celcius, whereas the hills are somewhat cooler, probably mid 80's. I lived in a village near Almora which is in the hills and it was humid. There were leeches any lower than us so I only walked uphill. Perhaps Manali and the other hill stations don't have leeches in July?? If it isn't raining, there won't be leeches. I was in Manali in September one year around the time of Durga puja and it was very pleasant. Could you travel there at another time of year? over 8 years ago
