North Goa is characterized by lots of rocky beaches, full of eateries offering Goan & continental fare. Lots of nightlife & fun on the beach.

South Goa is more for the beaches, unspoilt, secluded getaways & luxury resorts. Full of sun & sea.

I liked North Goa on my 5-6 visits to Goa

North Goa's beaches like Baga, Calangute, Vagator, Anjuna all are youthful and happening

North Goa Discos like Titos, Club Cavana etc are hot and happening

North Goa's Public is fun loving.

Food in North Goa is awesome

North Goa Hotels like Taj Holiday Village, Sterling etc etc are good ones. There are a number of small hotels in and around Baga and Calangute which are also good ones.

I love north Goa...particularly on a bike...the countyside, the beaches, pubs, discos, the public, the food and the enjoyment

South Goa has a number of 5 star hotels as well as 3 star hotels which are really beautiful...like club Mahindra's, Taj Exotica, Cidede-de-Goa, Majorda, Hathi Mahal, Leela(7 star), Holiday Inn...I dont remember other names
Beaches in South Goa is quiet and peaceful...not much happening...but clean and tidy
Have some good churches..people are friendly....food is good....enjoyable...but not for youth...better for those who are married or those who are old aged and want to relax in a good hotel by the beach...Its more of relaxing than enjoying almost 5 years ago

Like most people we went north first and really liked it. Lots of restaurants, nightlife and good beaches. Some of the beaches which one can check out while travelling in North Goa are Dona Paula Beach, Anjuna Beach, Sinquerim Beach, Baga Beach, and Vagator Beach. Other places to see here are Tiracol Church, Chapora fort, Fort Aguada, The chapel of St. Anthony, Anjuna market, Mapusa Friday Market, etc. Rave parties, water sports, carnivals, shopping from the local bazaars and shacks, etc., are some other interesting activities to enjoy in the northern part of Goa. Most of the Luxurious Hotels are located in South Goa. It is speckled with a few beaches which are pristine and exotic. Some of the beaches of south Goa are Palolem Beach, Colva Beach, Betul Beach, Benaulim Beach, and Majorda beach. Apart from the beaches of South Goa, other attractions which one can check out are Chandor Village, Catigao Wildlife Sanctuary, and Church of The Holy Spirit. almost 5 years ago
