Northern India (OK, so its actually southern Nepal) but so close to the border is Chitwain National Park.

We stayed at a fantastic lodge called Temple Tiger http://www.templetigernepal.com/
and saw tigers, rhinos, deer, monkey, sloth amongst other gorgeous creatures. We travelled with our children who were 4yrs and 10 yrs at the time and they loved it.

We researched quite a bit before making a decision, there are some very unethical outfits abusing the animals etc - I just couldn't be party to that. Mostly all of the lodges in the National Park are very good with conservation programs.
