Northern lights in the summer?

about 4 years ago about Iceland

I'm planning on going on a trip in July, and it was hoping to have a chance to see the northern lights. I've heard you have to go in the winter to see them, is this true?

While the northern lights occur year-round, summer's near-constant daylight makes seeing them next to impossible. In winter, however, clear, dark nights lend themselves to stunning displays. Recently I have visited Iceland with my friends. We saw the wonderful lights there. One travel company Go to joy Iceland helped us to travel there. about 1 month ago
