I have a two day stop-over in Hong Kong. I arrive very early on Saturday morning and depart very late on Sunday night. I am looking for some fun things to do while i'm there. A mix of tourist, local and shopping fun. Thanks!

Ride the Star Ferry, upper deck. Take the tram/rail car up to Victoria Peak near sunset to enjoy panoramic view (you can eat there, too). Take a city tour (let hotel arrange). Walk Nathan Road on Kowloon side and enjoy some street food. At 8 pm (ck time) be harbor side on Kowloon side to see laser light show when the buildlings "dance" for 10 minutes. over 10 years ago

Check out the street markets, they sell a huge variety of everything (including great food) and you can practise bargaining too, which is fun as long as it's friendly. Good for buying clothes, accessories, toys and presents. On a tight timeline you can try to cover the three biggest markets in Mongkok, the Ladies Market in Tung Choi street, Temple Street market in Temple Street and Wan Chai Street market in Tai Yuen Street. over 10 years ago

Star ferry, Kowloon, Lan Kwai Fong, Tram ride up tp The Peak (Mt Victoria) at night, bus ride around to Stanley ,dim sum in any 'local' restaurant, Jade Market (be very careful of what you buy and be sure its not green glass), Temple Street Market, Ladies Market in Mongkok (fakes, fakes and more fakes), Man Mo Temple, SOHO.... and the list goes on :) over 10 years ago

I loved the street life in Wan Chai area - lots of bars and restaurants and very vibrant at night.

Star Ferry is a must and the museum is pretty fab. over 10 years ago
