Can you suggest a cruise from Athens through the greek islands in July? Or would it be better to take a ferry from island to island?

It depends on what you are looking for (looking to party, or have quiet holidays, traveling with kids, etc) and how much time you have. There are endless options over 9 years ago

Paros - naxos - folegandros - santorini could be an option and then back to athens by plane from santorini. But that would mean 1 day per island. I wouldn't do that because most of the time you need more than a day on an island to really enjoy it. Another option could be to stay near athens and visit hydra - kea (aka tzia) - aegina. These islands that are no more than 2 hours on a boat from athens over 9 years ago
