Am going to Munich/Salzburg/Prague mid September and wanted to know the best train option to get to Prague-we are flexible with going from Salzburg or Munich. Would love an overnight option to save travel time.

I found a really good site: Raildude.com. It's free and they are pretty knowledgeable about the best train deals. almost 8 years ago

Easy from Salzburg to Prague: you'll change trains in Linz and none cations are good. An alternative is to change trains in Ceske Budojevice. Either option takes about 5 hours and rides are comfortable. Check schedules - lots of options throughout the day. It's a little clumsier and longer from Munich but you can see Regensburg on he way for a day and move on to Prague. You'll go through Dresden most likely. over 7 years ago
