    Depends on your preference. If you like uber-touristy, overpriced and tired, Moulin Rouge. But you do get the history and nostalgia of the Belle Epoch. The Lido is more modern, less spendy and fewer tourists blindly go there. Oh yes, and it's spectacular! about 7 years ago

    Well as a tourist a lot of people do prefer the Moulin Rouge simply for the fact that it is THE famous cabaret venue in Paris, but it is very expensive for what you get. The Lido is a more modern type of glamour but you probably do get more for your money. It really depends on your budget! Alternatively, there are smaller cabarets like the Au Lapin Agile that seem more authentic. Have a look at http://www.moulinrougeparis.co.uk/alternatives/ for various cabaret options in the city if you're really keen to go! about 7 years ago
