Can't go wrong with the Louvre, Eiffel, Notre Dame (wouldn't recommend it is worth paying to climb the tower - just go in for free). I managed to 'do' all the main things in 3 days, except the cemetary, which is supposedly worth seeing. Versailles has also been recommended (met people yesterday here in Nice who siad both were worth it). over 10 years ago

Definitely would recommend getting on a bateux mouches and cruise the Seine. I loved the Musee D'Orsay and skipped the Louvre as the queues were too big, although they do do a late night opening, so might try that next time. I adored the Picasso Museum.
I walked to Notre Dame and all around the Cite which I found fascinating and was haunted by the Jewish memorial.
To be honest, just walking round is amazing - Jardin du Luxembourg, down the Champs Elysees, around Montmartre, on the funiculaire to the Sacre Coeur, the Jewish Quarter, the Turkish Quarter etc etc.
It's a beauiful city.
You can cover a lot in four days. I got a ticket that covered the underground/metro and the bus, so when I wanted to go to places quickly I could.
I went to the Eiffel Tower and then crossed over to the Trocadero where you get a great view. over 10 years ago -
