My younger sister and I will be visiting Paris early January and we are teenage Muslim girls in hijabs. Will we be treated differently and will it be safe for us to travel around?

It seems to me that Paris is a very colorful city, with people from different race and religious background, so I think you should not worry about being a Muslim. However, as young girls traveling in Paris, it's perhaps necessary to think of safety in a different way, for example, the areas you don't want to be or avoid, the areas you'd better not go at night...As a woman, I think Paris is in general a safe city, but you do have a feeling of anxiety while going around. So be conscious of your environment. Good luck and safe trip! over 7 years ago

Keep in mind that in January it will be dark by 16:30 and won't be light until after 8:00. Take extra care during dark times. over 7 years ago
