    Gordes is a very pretty hill top town to the east of Avignon. Avignon is also a great place to visit.
    In the hills behind Cannes is Vence another hill top town - a bit touristy, but still pretty and an artists retreat. in Vence is the Chapel of the Rosary with beautiful stained glass windows created by Henri Matisse (my favourite artist). about 8 years ago

    Gassin is also pretty nice, its close to saint tropez. You will have a nice view around from this hillside authentic little town. Not far is grimaud and cogolin. When you travel from marseille you can use the road along the coast over/after toulon. about 8 years ago

    Avignon and Aix-de-Provence!!!! Marvelous cities!!! I took day trips from Marseille and was enough! Try the restaurant Zinc de Hugo em Aix! Wonderful food!
    Also try to sinc your visit with the flower markets days! Great! about 8 years ago
