Morzine & the Portes du Soleil !! 650km of ski slopes!! I worked there one winter and it was amazing, there's so much on offer from hotels, bars, restaurants, shops, apres ski, nightclubs, but most importantly it has amazing skiing for every level skier. Okay it doesn't have that many black slopes like you'll find in Val d'Isere, but I'm not a huge fan of blacks anyway. PLUS it's a fraction of the cost to go to Morzine. Check out this link for some good info about Morzine: http://www.morznet.com/morzine/guide.html

Cheapest option, more family oriented would be hittimg slopes in "les Vosges" in the east of Frane, there a some nice little stations there for a fraction of the cost ofmthe Alps one, and a fraction of the tourists as well over 8 years ago
