    There are several companies that run day trips from Paris, but it's a long day. Mont St Michel is 2 hours + drive from Paris. There are TGV trains to a nearby station and a bus connection. But I'd recommend an overnight stay in Normandy - so much to see and do anyway. I rented a car and drove around Normandy (and the Somme) without any hassle. over 6 years ago

    D to walk the ancient street after the tourist have left is an awesome experience. There are also some excellent restaurants. over 6 years ago

    Wow that sounds awesome! But unfortunately we are going to be based in Paris so can only make the day trip :( but maybe next time... If we love it we can stay local and enjoy the less touristy hours!!
