We want to know whether 3 valleys is the best spot for the best snow in Europe. Is it better than austria's Skiwelt mountain range? And at which town should we stay in 3 Valleys?
3Valleys are greattttt I am going to Meribel this year myself and my sister an brother have both worked ski seasons there and my brother managed a hotel in Courchevel and my friend worked as a ski guide in Val-d'Isère too! So you might say I am a little biased but I think more experienced would be right!
I defo recommend skiing there and you can get a lift pass and travel between the resorts so easily you get all kinds of skiing! about 6 years ago
I stayed in most of the 3 Vallees villages over the years. Val Thorens is thé place for students etc. (relatively budget accomodation, great après-ski for France, though not the same as Austria), Les Menuires is pretty ok in the same manner, although it attracks more families with a larger budget in recent years because of more luxurious chalets. St. Martin-de-Belleville is the most lovely of the villages and caters well for families, ánd has a Michelin starred resataurant.
Meribe and Mottaret are excellent for exploring the entire region and are mostly visited by Dutch and British family with young children. The Courchevel villages attrackt to French (and increasingly Russian) rich folks. La Tania is more affordable and attracks British and Dutch crowds.
So: have your pick! about 6 years ago
