Hi, anybody knows if October is a good month to see the northern ligths in Finland, near Ivalo? I went in march and it was great but I don,t know if October it,s ussually cloudy or not. Thank you!
It must be really cold to have a chance to see the northern lights. Temperatures have not plummeted yet in October, though the median is a few degrees over zero c°. In such conditions the odds to have a cloudy sky with snow or rain are greater than in full winter. over 5 years ago
I've spent over 2 years in Finland on seperate trips and I haven't seen the Northern lights. October is too early, and the northern lights in March were quite unusual in that they were seen right in the south of Finland. Unfortunately I just happened to be in England at the time! about 5 years ago
