I decided to travel solo to europe for my birthday in december any suggestions? I know most of europe, is cold and wet during that time , but I'm sure it's still fun to be had! If someone has done this before please give me some insight on how you where treated and the activites you did solo. Im truly a people person, so I wont have much trouble meeting people unless their not friendly?! Please give your best suggestions....Thanks TGK

Kim, about 12% of the US population is African-American... the proportion of Afro-Europeans is much lower at about 1% (or that's one estimate I've read), but you'll still see plenty of black faces especially in France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the UK.
Racist attitudes can be a problem anywhere, but you're more likely to run into them in eastern Europe, but I suspect you''re sticking to Western Europe, which is very cosmopolitan and very used to tourists.
I think you'll enjoy the fabulous "Christmas markets" which run in many historic cities. about 7 years ago
