Depends what you mean by "good".... It'll be cold and wet in the UK for sure (and possibly snowy). almost 7 years ago

Last January, the weather in the UK, and especially in the Scottish Highlands was awful. Snow, cold, ice...really quite bad for travelling around. almost 7 years ago

I concur. Depending on where in the UK (I think it was much of it) travel was severely disrupted. One night, my usual 30 min drive home took me 3 hours thanks to the poorly gritted roads and drivers not being able to, well, drive in the snow. The abandoned cars littering the roads didn't help either.

That said, perhaps we'll have a milder winter this time round, in which case sightseeing in the snow is great... almost 7 years ago

If you are very particular about the weather in these areas its better to consider your travel in these places by march... almost 7 years ago

I live in Belgium. Januari is Winter time, but often sunny and nice. It is also sales time if you like shopping. THE advantage is that hotels will offer good deals. It is dark after 5.15pm, so less comfortable in lonesome parts of towns. almost 7 years ago

Hi All many thanks for your respond to my question. Actually i still consider to go in mid January.. However i also realize that too cold weather may not really comforting for traveling, especially if i want to explore the great spots by walking.

I will seriously consider your feedbacks.. Wish me luck! almost 7 years ago
